Skullcap (Scutellaria lateriflora) is a perennial herb that was prized by the Native Americans and used as a mild sedative without causing unwanted drowsiness. These calming effects on the nervous system are now widely used in traditional Western herbal medicine.

Skullcap acts as a nervine to support and nourish the nervous system in times of stress, mild anxiety and nervous tension and combines well with other nervine herbs.
